The Consistency of Truett Cathy

Truett Cathy is the latest to be labeled as controversial.   If the those who were offended at Mr. Cathy or at Chick Fil A were a little more educated they would know that instead of controversial Mr. Cathy is just consistent in his faith & beliefs.  Chick fil a is closed on Sundays and that is a principle that while every other corporation in America (except Hobby Lobby) caved in for the sake of increased profits, he has stood firm.  His belief in the institution of marriage isn't new either rather it's consistent unlike politicians including our President who has changed his views concerning this issue.  He was asked a question and he answered honestly, with conviction and how he honestly believes. (Does this remind anyone of the detest of Tim Tebow last fall) why? Most media types don't have a clue with how to deal with someone or something who simply do their job and stand up for what they believe.  The call for the church is to look first to the Word of God but also to men of principle who don't waiver or change under the pressure of politics.  I've recommended this several times via Twitter & FaceBook but I recommend for everyone to read "The Marketing of Evil" by David Kupelian. Nothing that is taking place around us is by accident.  Amazingly the left didn't label the Dixie Chicks as controversial they were labeled as invoking there right to free speech. Remember them? Here is a spiritual litmus test for you if the "mainstream media" is attacking someone or something it might be wise to support those attacked.  Examples-Nazi Germany & Roe vs. Wade It is evident that the only people that it's ok to offend are Christians. Church don't be afraid to express what you believe without fear or favor. I've never seen anyone come to Christ as a result of compromise.  People who have compromised doctrine aren't coming our way and those who are sexually immoral aren't either. And if they come as a result of our compromise to the Word of God what have we or they gained.
